We like to take pictures of hardware "in the wild" for the blog, and this application was just too good to pass by.
Seen here is a unique solution to a "hold open" for a door. Take a close look - it's a toilet plunger! It's suction cup abilities would certainly hold open a door. We even joked that it may be appropriate in fire-rated applications as it would melt and allow positive latching in case of a fire.
Of course, we can't condone this sort of hardware installation, but we can certainly share it for entertainment purposes.
